Solved Factory reset Polycom VVX 400

I'm trying to follow the directions to factory reset a Polycom VVX 400 phone found here:

I'm having particular difficulty with entering the password which is not 456, but I'm using the MAC address.

I'm not understanding how I am supposed to enter the letters. I would have thought it would have been like it was in the old days of texting:

2 once = A
2 twice = B
2 thrice = C

However, it does not seem to be working this way. Using the buttons under the 1-Aa logo doesn't seem to make a difference.

When I jumped on the eBay auction I didn't realize these phones were EOL, I thought they were still supported.

My luck with phones hasn't been good lately!

Factory resetting a phone isn't 3CX specific. I suggest searching for a Youtube video which will show you how to properly change input selection for the characters.

Thanks. I did this first. I kept at it and finally got it.
I've tried to delete this thread but I suppose that's not possible.
