Dear All,

I Intend to set up a high availability or failover setup. is there a way that when the primary server comes back up to move back to it automatically or if I can set it as in https://www.3cx.com/docs/failover/ but two ways so it can be automatic?

Thanks

The document outlines the 3CX failover. If you want to do it any other way you need to do it at the host level.

The 3CX Failover feature will allow for the passive 3CX Server to automatically take over upon a failover event. Thereafter, with 3CX Failover, you will have to manually switch back to the primary server and then set the secondary server back to passive. Switching to the primary server would involve making sure it and all of it's services are up and running and making sure that the FQDN is pointing back to it's public ip. To update the DNS entry you may need to restart the system service depending on the situation.

That said, it's as @cobaltit mentioned, if you wish to automate this process you may want to consider looking into other failover options outside of 3CX.
