Hi,

1) Were the templates modified on this system?

2) Can you show us the BLF page of this extension so we can see what may have caused this?

No problem! Just reprovision the device after you change it and it should be fine

Ok this is normal then. You selected "BLF" type, which is not valid for this type of device.

As per our guide, it needs to be of the "Speed Dial" type.

Also i have a quick question lets say i provisioned it with 3cx template and i make change for the code to trigger the relay to open the door strike to something like number "5" (because that was the code used to use for Panasonic system and i come from the back ground Panasonic ) and after that if the phone reboots than is it going back to the provisioning template or is there a way to stop this after some changes made OR ids there way i can change this in the template at the first place and don't have to worry about anything after wards.

Hi John
So another words this is how i should be doing it .
Step 1 Factory reset the Fanvil 130
Step 2 Make sure the VM Pin is setup as desired to energize the relay by manually entering it on the door phone itself
Step 3 Provision the phone through SBC ( i have one on site)
Step 4 Change the DTMF Code after
And as per you it will stay like that forever ,doesn't matter the devices reboots or not ?

Exactly correct, it will stay this way even after rebooting.

Only a factory reset will remove this setting as far as I know.

Thanks a lot , i learnt something new, so now if i understand correctly the provisioning method than EVERY DEVICE (Grandstream,Fanvil ,Yealink etc) can be modified (settings) after the provisioning done , i guess i should say at least as far as the 3cx is concerned , i mean i shouldn't assume that this provisioning method works the same way in every system .

It's better to not make any assumptions for things you haven't tested, otherwise you might be caught by surprise ;)

There are a number of things that the template provisions (and will be overwritten in case you change them manually). You need to study the templates or config files if you want to see which parameters we provision.

Everything else on the phone, 3CX does not touch. Those settings will remain as you set them.
We try to provision as few things as possible, just the very basics so that you are free to change the rest any way you like.
