Solved Fanvil phones not being upgraded

I have several new Fanvil phones [X7 X6U X5U] being used on a hosted 3CX system. It says the phone firmware is out of date and will be automatically updated during the daily hour I have selected. It however is not being updated and the hosted system appears not to allow for a manual update.

Does the same thing happen when select the extension under phones, and click on Firmware icon along the top

What firmware are the phones running

How are the phones provisioned - sbc or stun

Phones are running 2.4.12
Using an SBC
If select Phones>Firmware, it says device version is up to date but Updates>Phone Template says status OUT OF DATE installed version 124474 Online version 124479

Download the new templates

I would click the download to update the template and it would not allow me to select it. I now see out you have to select the line of the update and then download it.

Hi,

I think you may have confused the firmware with the templates.

Just go to the updates tab, 1. click on the template, and then 2. click download


Then reboot your phones or reprovision them so they can receive the new settings.

Done!
