Fanvil stuck on 3CX logo

Hey all,

I've got a Fanvil X3SG that would not go past the initial 3CX splash screen. The L1 and L2 buttons are lit solid yellow, and the status LED is solid red.
I've tried holding down # while powering up (as I've done on many Fanvils before), but the phone would not boot into post mode. Only the 3CX logo is displayed.

Hi,

Sounds like the phone has failed, I hope you can still claim warranty on it. I must say though as a note, I have one of those here for testing and it is running the latest firmware, but it does not show the 3CX logo during startup. Yours might be running a much older firmware. Mine shows the Fanvil logo and "loading" progress bar.

Try quickly tapping the # key while you power it up. This sometimes works for models that fail to detect the key. Make sure you use a good power supply in case this is just a power starvation issue, and make sure it is not plugged into the network during this test. If you manage to hit POST mode, try manually updating to the latest firmware from our website

The firmware version would most likely be v2.4.10, or one version before. Our other X3SG's are on 2.4.10 and they display the 3CX logo on startup.

I tried quickly pressing the # key, as well as using multiple power supplies and a POE switch, but no change.
I'll contact the manufacturer and try to RMA.

Yep, sounds like it is actually dead so RMA makes sense at this point!
