Fanvil X3U Pro - Hotdesking does not work properly

Hello everyone,

Our system is version 20.0 Update 2 (Build 715). We use hotdesking with Snom D785, Fanvil X5U, and Fanvil X3UPro.
Hotdesking on Snom D785 and Fanvil X5U works perfectly. The phone's extension changes right after the user logs in.
Fanvil X3UPro does not work correctly. After the user logs in to the phone, the phone must reboot to change the extension.

Fanvil X5U is using firmware 2.4.12 and Fanvil X3UPro is using 2.4.12.5

Any solution?

Hi,

You are currently using the wrong firmware. Please start by installing the correct version from here https://www.3cx.com/docs/phone-firmwares/

Then you should delete the hot desking extension and add it again.

Finally, factory reset the phone and give it some time to pick up its configuration.

PS: make sure you have an SBC in case the phone is not on the same LAN as the PBX, and also ensure that you have split DNS setup as per the V20 requirements if it is on the same LAN.
