Solved Fanvil X4G Mobile Numbers

Hi All,

We have just deployed 3CX, and some Fanvil X4Gs.

We have created extensions, and added mobile numbers to these extensions, however the mobile numbers do not show up on the Fanvil handset. They do show up on 3CX softphone on iPhone.

Please can somebody advise how we might get round this?

Do you mean the mobile number set under the extensions is not visible in the contacts of the phone?
If so please note that the 3CX phonebook only populates the phones with the name/surname and the extension number of each extension.

Is there anyway way around this? Otherwise we now need to create 2 entries per user, one with extension and one with mobile?

I am afraid there is no way around it. You will need to create a contact with the mobile number of each user as the extensions are already included in the phonebook. Use the mobile number field as that is the field that it is being used by the PBX to populate the phonebook.
