Fax Server on 3CX DEBIAN UpToDate

Hi,
It seems that the Fax server not running on this version (3CX Debian), including on the lastet V18.0.xxx.

Trace debug:
Outside call arrive by trunk (Cretified one: Alphalink) : trace in the 3CX LOg
External call transfert on the Fax server extention : (888) + when test number by phone, received the FAX tone
seems to have no fax negociiation on the Faxserver....
and fax sender received after one moment busy signal.

I know that on the first Debian's version it was a fax server bug (conversion from tiff to PDF).... It still to be the case on 18.x ?

Hello,

The fax server should receive the fax and then email it to you as a PDF (I tested and confirmed it works).

You can try to toggle the fallback option and see if it makes a difference, but keep in mind faxing is not always guaranteed to work.

Yes we have activated this option G711/T38 Fallback.
It's solved Fax reception for few cases, but not for fax sent by MS teams / Exchange Online...

By the way, 2 note for your dev staff:
1/ log trace are little beat surprising in cas of this option unchecked : said that tiff image not found and conversion tiff/pdf fail... maybee log message as T38 negociation fail will be more explicit ;-).
2/ Not found release version documentation en debian version as the Fax server bug was solve (Prior we have info from M. Jourdan that Fax server was not implemented in the debian version due to Tiff/pdf convertor not running on this os... the log trce were the same).

About the second point I believe you are referring to a ticket which related to an old 3cx version, I can't recall the particular case but there is no such limitation anymore, the fax feature is the same in Linux/Windows.
