fax setup questions.

I have been reading the fax setup and have lots of questions. We have multiple offices and we are using telnyx lines - we have set each office with phone and sms service and would like to give them faxing capabilities based on the did and email the pdf directly to them.

I was getting confused with the setup instructions and can anyone point me wher to get a video or instructions to setup fax capabilities on each line and then send the fax to the line owners email? And are they allowed to outbound fax?

Ok I have read that its says to go to settings - fax server but I don't have that - where is this in the software

It's been moved to Advanced. Go Advanced >> Fax Server

Ok so last question - it seems to be assigned the extension 888 - how do I create a trunk that will go to that extension and assign it to the extension? 888 does not currently show as a user - should I create the 888 user and do it like all other trunks or is their something special that has to occur?

You shouldn't need to create a trunk unless your fax DID needs specific trunk settings. You just route the number like you do any other number, but you pick 'Send fax to' as the Destination instead of 'Extension'

Thanks got the inbound setup and working - now for one last question can the send outbound faxes and if they can how do I set it up?

Only way to send FAXs via 3CX would be to use an FXS Gateway and connect an analogue FAX device to it that you would use to send outbound FAXs.
