fax with 3cx

Hi,

I know it's possible to setup fax usage with 3cx, but is there a special client needed who can "pickup" the faxes, or does the 3cx fax client email the incomming faxes to a email adres or how does fax with 3cx works?

As far as I know, it only works with a Patton Gateway (PSTN or ISDN)
So the 3CX catches the fax and sends it to your email.
But, as far as I know it is still not a Fax2Mail service like Asterisk has or some firms like efax.com
Hopefully that will come in the future
Faxing over voip (Foip) is a difficult issue because of the codecs and the way it's sended.
