The fax server does not send faxes from applications. 3CX v7.1RC1 on Windows 2008 with Fax Server role installed as described in the 3CX documentation.
We have a Patton SmartNode 4960 (at 192.168.10.6) connected to an ISDN-PRI. There are no issues with outbound calls. The 3CX server has 192.168.10.5 as IP.

Below the relevant portion of the 3CX log (note that the phone number has been changed to 00000000000 for privacy reasons)
[in-clear phone number also edited by Vali_3Cx]

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Have you inserted 888 in your outbound rules?

I think 888 is the extension for *inbound* calls and has nothing to do with outbound faxing.

FWIW, I have an open support ticket on outbound faxing with a Patton 4114 where investigation is in process. Hopefully, there will be some kind of resolution soon.

888 is in this case the default fax extension. I assume that the Faxserver software plugs into that extension for sending the faxes. The fax was intended for an external number (masked with 000000000000).

We had several fax issues with the Pattons SN4960, which seem to have (at least partially, because I haven't tested thoroughly enough for a final statement yet) solved with the latest firmware SmartWare 5.3 of 01-2009.

From the log it seems that my internal extension is rejected.
