A client brought this to my attention as a ticket. I was able to locate the path an employee took when they left a voicemail on a voicemail box designed for employees to leave a message if they can not make it to work. When a voicemail is left, and the # is pressed, options are given. the option to exit is "#". However this doesnt just exit and save/send the recording, it discards the previosuly recorded voicemail and disconnects, leaving no message. Can that greeting make it clear that the recording will be discarded? People's job rely on this, and a no show no call almost cost a person their job when they exited not relizing that the greeting would be dicarded. The instructions simply are not clear. thank you.

Why are you pressing #? Are you sure the voicemail is configured? Sounds like the initial login to the voicemail to record the greeting.

on a cell phone, if your leaving a voicemail and mess up....its common to press #. 3CX offers the same. imagine your calling in sick and didnt like what you said...

this is easily replicated and tested....call logs show that the voicemail box ended the call as well, so it was easy to locate what happened.
