Solved Firefox window refreshing every few seconds; complete loss of service

After a recent upgrade, 3cx refreshes the Firefox window every few seconds, rendering every function useless. It is now impossible to start a call or chat conversation, change settings, or do anything.

I found the two forum posts with the same complaint, but blindly resetting the Firefox profile is not an option here.

Here the contents of the console window:

I would consider checking what addons you have in FF as you may find this problem doesnt exist when using private browsing.

Hallo, thank you for your quick reply. You are right that the problem does not appear in private mode, but the assumption that addons could be the issue reason seems to be wrong, because it is still not working in normal mode even after removing (not just disabling) ALL addons and restarting Firefox.

Have you tried clearing cache etc?

have you made any setting changes for how FF handles cookies etc?

Deleting both “Cookies and Site Data” and “Cached Web Content” does not solve the issue.

No changes have been made to the cookie configuration settings.

The problem surfaced with a recent 3cx upgrade.

Whilst I can confirm this problem occurs with me too (when im browsing other 3CX instances not my work) - it's hit and miss.

Im able to replicate this problem - problem occurs only for the /webclient URL

As I suspected - This is an issue relating to a FF setting that has been configured to clear cookies/data.

Troubleshooting shows this error:

Failed to register/update a ServiceWorker for scope ‘https://FQDN:5001/webclient/’: Storage access is restricted in this context due to user settings or private browsing mode.

Go into FF settings > Privacy & Security > Cookiei and Site Data > Manage Exceptions and add your URL.
