Our public network is a /28 network. We have usable public addresses from x.x.x.18 - x.x.x.30. On our firewall our WAN port is assigned to the first usable IP (.18). We have created a network Address Object for our server for x.x.x.23/255.255.255.0 and have a NAT translation in place to translate this to the inside address of the server and to forward all of the necessary ports to it. The ports are getting passed through properly as I can access it just fine, however I'm getting errors when I run the firewall test (see the attached screenshot).
In investigating I see that when I do a "whatismyip" the machine "thinks" its public ip is .18, not .23 as it's passing through the WAN port. Is this going to cause an issue, and if so does anyone have any idea of how to rectify it? If necessary I'll get a Dell Sonicwall engineer to help me as I've reached the limits of my ignorance!
