Sorry, silly question time.

What firewall forwarding or rules would i need to instruct our technicians to setup for this to work? We only need 1 or 2 phones setup so will not need an SBC Rasberry Pi setup situation. Please could someone explain the port re-direction needed in the local firewall for this to work please? We will be using a supported IP Phone (Grandstream GX1625) - Many Thanks

3CX Cloud Hosted situation.

Hi,

can you please elaborate a little bit more your question ?

Hi,

can you please elaborate a little bit more your question ?
He wants to know what ports to have the firewall guy redirect for their 1-2 STUN phones.

SBC is recommended for all IP phone setups, but if you have only 1 or 2 phones in total, use the 3CX APP (mobile or browser) and eliminate all possible issues.

My Customers are excited about Hosted 3CX and are ready to shut down the onsite instance with the servers or PCs running 3CX. However, if we have to run SBC to get support, that negates even moving the instance because we still have to have something onsite running 7x24x365. I have several with remote phones using STUN with no issues. They also use 3CX mobile APP and some use web app. Why isn't that a valid supported use of Hosted 3CX? I could see if you have 25 or more phones STUN could be an issue; but we are told Hosted 3CX doesn't support that much either (without an OK from 3CX). We need the ability to have Nothing running onsite. The people in the office are not going to give up their phones for an app. Help please :)

Thank you, that is definitely the question i need answering. Basically some sort of idea of what ports will need forwarding or how it works without an SBC

@Haddi

now you have edited your original post and the request is more clear, i can explain.
You may find all your answers here for STUN Phones : https://www.3cx.com/3cxacademy/videos/intermediate/configuring-remote-extensions/

But 3cx will not interfere with configuration , with port forwarding or issues you may face as each setup on router/firewall is different and this is out of the scope of 3cx and this relies on the IT Administrator.
The supported way to have deskphones on a remote site and the PBX to be hosted by 3CX is only SBC.
The reason for this is because it is reliable, stable, provides encryption and there is no need to spend time on the router/firewall at the remote site.
Plug and play and the phones work out of the box.
If this is not convenient, then 3cx clients ( Web and Windows ) and also Mobile cilents work with the simplest way and they are Free.
