New Yealink firmware appears to have dropped - presumably fixing the BST issue.

We have quite a lot of T31Ps - the upgrades work on some, however on quite a few of the phones when I click 'upgrade' in the admin window I get the following:

This is the first time we've done firmware upgrades since we went V20.

The phone doesn't update, presumably because it is never prompted to by 3CX.

Any ideas?

Running V20u2 in Gcloud, all phones are via SBC. Phones are currently on 124.86.0.40 and are being upgraded to 124.86.0.77.

So what this looks like is that I can select a few phones to be updated and set them away. Some will update, some will fail - if I pick say 10 phones then roughly the first 7 update and the last 3 fail. If I try and update an individual phone at the same time, I get the internal server error. If I wait until they are finished updating / failing then I can update an individual phone without error, but I can't update another phone until that one is finished.

This is odd to me - in V18 I could set dozens of phones away to update and it would just work.

The other thing that is odd is that not all of my phones are appearing under PNP, even though we are exclusively using SBCs.

This is going to be tricky to troubleshoot as, by virtue of testing groups of 10 at a time to try and diagnose the problem, I've run out of phones to update.

So I guess the question is - has anyone experienced the same?

Hi Lee,

Next time you upgrade in bulk, first set logs to verbose, cause the error to happen, and then when it does download the Support Info package from your dashboard.

It should contain useful information we can look at.

Hello,
I have the same problem, and the funny thing is that the firmware on the official Yealink website is only available at 124.86.0.75 and not 124.86.0.77 (recommended by 3CX). On the 3CX website the download is wrong.

I have the same problem too. 124.86.0.77 showing but only .75 on yealink website.

It's normal that on Yealink's website, the "generic" firmware differs from the one recommended by 3CX.

The phone manufacturer ensures compatibility with 3CX and may need to enable or disable certain features of the generic firmware.

3CX does not manufacture the firmware; it is the phone manufacturer that provides 3CX with the recommended version to function optimally with 3CX.

Therefore, it is normal that you cannot find this version elsewhere except on the 3CX website, as it is intended FOR 3CX.
