According to service.snom.com, there isn't really a firmware version that is compatible with all three of M400, M65 and M25. BSV740B104 seems to be for M400 and M65, but not for M25. BSV650B2 seems to be for M65 and M25, but not for M400 and BSV610B5 seems to be for M400, but neither for M65 nor for M25. No older versions seems to be compatible with M400.

Is my client going to need a new handset to replace the M25 or is there some combination of firmware that would be compatible?

The current firmware of the M400 is BSV610B3 and I can't tell what the firmware versions of the M65 and the M25 are.

Hi Frederik,

This is something very hardware-specific and should best be answered by Snom Support.

I believe the M25 is an older model that was made a long time ago before M400 was ever produced, mainly for M300+M700 bases which are also now at the end of their life.

If their documentation does not cover your question we encourage you to contact them directly so they can advise how to proceed.
