Hello all;

This is my first time to configure the Patton SN4171 PRI gateway, I go through the steps published by 3CX for how do generate the gwcfg file for uploading to Patton device. Before I start my upload, for safety; I do compare the original startup-config file in Patton SN4171 and the one generated in 3CX. I found that some of the settings are different, for example;

In 3CX gwcfg file, the following settings are in the "context ip ROUTER";

context ip ROUTER

interface WAN
ipaddress DHCP
tcp adjust-mss rx mtu
tcp adjust-mss tx mtu

interface LAN
ipaddress LAN 192.168.51.212 255.255.255.0
tcp adjust-mss rx mtu
tcp adjust-mss tx mtu

routing-table DEFAULT
route 0.0.0.0/0 gateway 192.168.51.1

But in the Patton "startup-config", it is..
context ip ROUTER

interface WAN
ipaddress WAN_STATIC 192.168.51.212/24
ipaddress DHCP dhcp
use profile napt NAPT_WAN DHCP

routing-table DEFAULT

Also, I have this but none in 3CX gwcfg file

profile provisioning PF_PROVISIONING_CONFIG
destination configuration
use profile tls DEFAULT
location 1 https://redirect.patton.com/$(syste...martWare=;dhcp66=$(dhcp.66);dhcp67=$(dhcp.67)
location 2 $(dhcp.66)
location 3 $(dhcp.66)/$(system.serial).cfg
location 4 http://$(dhcp.66)/$(dhcp.67)
location 5 http://$(dhcp.66)/$(system.serial).cfg
location 6 tftp://$(dhcp.66)/$(dhcp.67)
location 7 tftp://$(dhcp.66)/$(system.serial).cfg
activation reload immediate

What impact if I am using 3CX generated gwcfg file for loading to the Patton.

I worry about does it affect my license setting on Patton unit.

Can I merge them? My hardware version on Patton SN4171 is 1.6 and the Release version is 3.15.2-19042.

thanks!

Configuring the Patton as the 3CX guide states is the supported configuration. Anything else is not. I'm not sure why you think it affects your license in any way as there is nothing reference in either pasted example regarding your license.

My license concern is because I bought a SN4171/1E15V30HP/EUI unit which support max. 15 channel of PRI by default and in order to support 30 channels or full channel of PRI, I added the extra license (another 15 license) for this unit. And all license is added by my vendor before shipping to me, I am not sue if there is any mapping from the original "startup-config" file which will pointing to any license file in order to validate any license key.

If the startup-config file does not map to or pointing to any license key, that's great.

In this case it sounds like a great question for your vendor :). It would be silly to have license coded into a few lines of a config file which anyone could read/copy/delete. So the answer is no, your config has nothing to do with the license.

@Kane Wong have you resolved this issue with the licence/config ? If not let me know, all you should need to do with the upgraded licence (and it is completely 3CX redundant) is import the key into the GUI of the Patton.

On hand if you require however.

thanks! I am ok with it, I am contacting Patton support to help me where can I locate the license information.

Look here for uploading of a licence via Putty: https://www.patton.com/manuals/Trinity3-cli.pdf

Page 564:

show system licences displays what is running on the device.
install licence followed by the full license key - to upload a newer licence.

Thank you!

I saw the sip-sessions display "15", and the voice-channels display "30" for "Source" and "Available".

Not sure why you were trying to add a license that was already added by your vendor according to your earlier post. But it looks like you confirmed it which perhaps is what you were asking for.
