I'm using a Granstream 4104 gateway (very happy with how it works).

When on the PSTN line and another call comes in I hear the call waiting tone.

Is there a flashook command that can be issued from the VOIP phone?

(This would be useful as well as there is call conferencing on this POTS line.)

Using Aastra 480i phones.

(I did this before when I was using Trixbox).

This issue has raised it's head a number of times, and i don't seem to recall ever seeing a resolution with nay PSTN gateway involved.

That's not to say that will a particular make/model, it isn't possible. It would have to be a DTMF sequence that would cause the gateway to send the flash. Since anything sent from a set to a gateway (in 3CX) involves outbound rules, it really seems highly improbable that it will work.

I think that the expectation is... these are business trunks with non-residential features (not a feature that requires the ability to send a flash) as those features are handled by the PBX.
