I am trying to get the caller ID name to be properly set on my flowroute caller id for Canada.

Flow route said the following

For canadian DIDs, You will need to set the CNAM on your PBX.
We are also able to extend CNAM services to Canada, but you are responsible for providing the P-Assert tag with your designated CNAM ID. If you are not able to provide the data with the SIP signal, then you would be unable to allow Canadian destinations to correctly ID your call.

I do not know what that means.. anyone able to provide assistance?

I cannot speak for Flowroute, but why Asset header? My provider (VoiceMeUp) uses Remote-Party-ID to set the CNAM and it works beautifully.

Have you tried simply entering the name in the Caller ID section of the trunk?

Hello @Sangar3

Each provider uses different SIP fields to read the caller ID from. We haven't tested Flowroute with Canadian numbers but since they instructed you to use the P-Asserted Identity field try the following.
Use the 3CX template to add the trunk and then navigate to the Outbound parameters of the trunk and add the following fields.
10642

Add your CNAM in the custom field and save your changes. Let us know if that works.

Hello

I tried this and now it shows unknown caller.

Under the Sip trunk, Caller ID tab, I have the phone number listed there for configure outbound caller id

Try a wireshark capture or check the 3CX Activity log and see if the correct information is sent by the PBX. If they information is correct and in the correct SIP fields then contact Flowroute again and ask them what they see on their side.
Also are you trying to set a name as a caller ID or a number?

Right now just trying number

Flowroute got back and said

The P-asserted identity field you are sending is P-Asserted-Identity: <sip:CompanName@Comp>
It should be sip:DID@theirIP. This is causing it to show Unavailable.
You would need to check on outbound parameters in your trunk settings.

I changed this, and then it goes back to showing private.

Hello

I tried the remote party and it still showed private. Caller ID section tried that, no go as well

Since you tried all Flowroute suggested and this still fails then you probably need to talk to them again and ask them if they are seeing something wrong with the configuration.
