I am using hosted version of V20 3CX with Flowroute as my trunk and have been receiving dozens of failure to call or register on outbound calls daily with the following message below:

Call or Registration to XXXXXXXXXXXX@(Ln.10000@Flowroute) has failed. sip:34.210.91.114:5060;lr replied: Forbidden (403)

I am able to make and receive phone calls without issue. I am using account based registration from with Flowroute in 3CX. I contacted Flowroute and they see NO issues on their end and suggest that it is a 3CX issue and that they evaluate this. I can't do any packet captures yet because it is not yet available in the hosted 3CX instance.

Ideas?

This indicates that call attempts to this number have been blocked from the provider. Is this a known number? There are random call attempts to different numbers?

They are all local outbound calls to known phone numbers in my area code that my staff has made. I gave Flowroute a list of about 10 of these calls and they looked them up and did not see any issue on their end. I am not having issues with outbound calls but a few dozen of these calls are showing up in my 3CX logs daily.

Understood but the message is coming from the provider ip which rejected the calls.
In this case they need to clarify unless those calls were normally rejected from the endpoint and they do not see any error.

What can I specifically ask them? I forwarded the error/forbidden message in 3CX and a list of the calls with this issue.

Their reply was not particularly helpful: "This may be an issue on the 3cx side. I don't see any issue with the Flow route setup. Please open a ticket with 3CX."

In fact, one of these call I personally made myself today. It dialed out ok and the call went through fine. But again the error is still showing up.

Does the date/time match the call?

Creating a call report, shoes the same information?

Yes. I looked at the last several from today and they show the same information in both the call report and event log

Still this is an error that is coming from the provider.
Maybe they need to check this further.

Just ask them to check further? Anything more specific?

The error is specific here, they will need to tell you why they are sending this error.

Here is more communication with Flowroute:

FLOWROUTE:
Thank you for that example. But I still don't see any issues. The reported call was completed please see below.

ME:
Thanks. Flowroute however is still sending the registration failure messages. Can you inquiry why flowroute is sending these messages to 3CX. I am aware the calls are being completed even with the registration errors.

FLOWROUTE:
I am sorry but we see no errors on the Flowroute side. Can you tell me where you pulled the logs from? This maybe be some on your end.

and this just now:

FLOWROUTE:
Sorry but we cant use the logs from the 3rd party application. As far as Flowroute we are not see that in the logs. If ok I will close this ticket as no issue was found.

We can check also and confirm from our side the behavior however this will require to submit a support ticket.

It looks like the problem is related to the settings in 3CX. Check your configuration and network settings. Try reviewing your call routing and routing settings. If Flowroute does not detect any problems, it may be an issue with your 3CX settings.

@biggreyphone
additionally to the above, if you have modified something in the settings of the trunk, and are not sure, then it will be easier to recreate the trunk and try again.

I haven't changed anything. Flowroute just opened the ticket back up again. They requested a PCAP. I tried to resolve this issue a few months ago, but when I ran a packet capture, it wasnt seeing any data between 3CX and flowroute's IP address. Should I be able to run a PCAP on my network if it is a 3CX hosted system or will it not be able to see the data between 3CX and flowroute?

I am also aware that the hosted version of 3CX does not have packet capture capability yet so.. what to do?

Thanks. Flowroute does not detect any problems. Any specific settings you think might be off? Everything looks fine on my end that I can see for the trunk.
