Hello,

I have the dial code for "Force 3CX Phone System to IN or OUT of office" set to *992

Dialing *9921 gives the correct response of IN office
Dialing *9922 gives the correct response of OUT of office
Dialing *992 returns the system back to the default office hours

If you have the office hours setup through the web client with open, closed, and break routes going to various digital receptionists, it does not work. Despite the dial codes apparently confirming they changed the IN/OUT status, the system continues to route the calls based on the office hours. From what I can tell, you can't use the IN/OUT dial codes with the web client office hours routing. The interface or documentation doesn't seem to identify that behavior as something by design and I would consider it a bug. Or is there a different dial code or method for forcing IN/OUT for the web client based office hour groups?

The IN/Out codes do work if you are using the global office hours through the management console and setup routing through the inbound rules, but it seems like the web client is the preferred method in the documentation: https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/ivr-digital-receptionist/#h.gadcjzghtafl.

Thanks!

*9920 to return to schedule.

Just dialing *992 does the same thing at *9920, but unfortunately the dial codes don't work when using the web client defined office hours and routing.

The dial codes do not affect group office hours which is what the webclient configuration affects. You must use the override office hours option to perform these actions.

Hi YiannisH,

Just to confirm if we are using groups and controlling the office hours through the groups, we will not be able to use the dial codes to set up buttons on the handsets? Is there any way we can use groups and also use the dial codes to program buttons on the handsets?

No there is not. Its best to use the options in the webclient for this. Forcing the PBX to a status using the dial codes was never recommended and it may be going away at some point.
