Hi Guys,

I have a client that has a Head Office (3cx hosted locally on Hyper-V) and a few branch offices. They are moving from an old analogue system that allowed them to set forwards on different inbound numbers to external numbers of their choice.

Each branch has their on DID, what I want to configure is a way for each branch to set their own forwarding rules so they can set all inbound calls to diver to mobile when they want to leave for the day. This of course means that I cannot use the "Force 3CX Phone System to IN or OUT of office" option as this will affect the other branches that are otherwise still working for the day.

I have been unable to find a solution on the forums or in the documentation for a seemingly simple request. The client doesn't want users to have to log in to the management console and manually set out of office on the SIP trunk, rather a programed key on their deskphone they can simply press that will effectively change their DID to "out of office" without changing it across the entire PBX.

Thanks

What you could do is create a dummy/routing extension for each DID/branch. Then have every DID Rule first route calls to that dummy/routing extension, and then configure the extension to route calls to the desired destination. When the time comes for the calls to be diverted, you can simply change that extension's profile status to something else like DND, and essentially have the DND forwarding rules for that dummy/routing extension route calls to the mobile phone.

You could provide webclient access(not Management Console access) for that extension to every branch manager so that they can change the profile status on demand or even change the forwarding rules. If you wish that they are only able to change the profile status of this extension, you can only provide then with the receptionist rights or with the dummy/routing's extension Voicemail Pin and number so that they can change the extension number from the special menu (default 999).
