Hi,
i have activated an FQDN on free google cloud offer to make same test.
After i have installed an internal server in my company with the same license and same FQDN.

How to shutdown and delete the first one?
I haven't access to that google free virtual machine, it's not present inmy google account.
Thanks

Hi mefisto 112,

A 3CX licence cannot be activated in 2 locations consecutively (unless it is the Enterprise licence).
You will need to turn one off before migrating.

FYI make sure you do no do this too many times as those licences have a mac counter which can expire if too many activation's are attempted. You would need to contact 3CX in event of such an occurrence.

Hi eddv123,
first installation was just a test, now i want to delete it but i don't know how to do it!

It's a free google server offered by 3cx, how can i access it?
From management console there is a Terminal but it doesn't accept shutdown command.

This may not work as the system maybe hard coded not to accept this command but have you tried in the terminal: apt-get purge 3cxpbx

This may remove the system from the server, alternately do they provide a login to the Google terminal platform where you can administer servers - I would doubt this.

apt-get purge 3cxpbx -> command not found.
The Terminal has a very short list of available commands, no one useful to shutdown.

So, it's not possible to delete a free google virtual machine offered by 3CX?

Hello @mefisto112

Please note that we will need to delete the free instance for you. To do so though we will need some information. I will send you a p.m. with what we need in order to be able to delete the instance.

Hi @YiannisH_3CX

Could you please message me the information you need?

We've a customer with the same issue.

After the removal of Voiceapps from the cloud version, we moved them to our own hosting environment.

Thanks alot.

Hi @YiannisH_3CX,
thank you so much for your support, now everything seems to work well!

Hi @YiannisH_3CX,
i'm sorry but I have received an email with subject "3CX has been updated Successfully" and the free google cloud machine has reborn with the same FQDN and a different IP address!

It's still in conflict with my on premise machine with same FQDN.

Could you kill it forever without shedding blood?

We are currently looking into it. I will let you know once it is done.

Please note that the instance is now deleted. Please let us know if you face any more issues.

I'm suffering the same problem. Can I direct message as well?

The message sent to me is locked so i cannot reply, however your case is slightly different. You used the same licence key on both installations that is the reason both installations have the same FQDN.
The licence is bound to the FQDN upon installation. So when you use the same licence the same FQDN will be used.
So it is not a matter of changing the FQDN it is a matter of changing the licence key used on the installation you want to change it to. And since this is not hosted in a 3CX free instance this is something you will need to do.
To do so you will need to backup the system without including licence and FQDN information.
The un-install the system and re-install using the backup and a new licence key.

Thanks, resolved with your guidance
