I moved my system to 3cx hosting several days ago. Then I got an email form [email protected] telling me that they detected my public IP address changed back to the old server. Now the PBX is up, but not working because the FQDN is bogus. I can't even get to the management console, cause I don't know the IP address. I moved my premise hosted system to the 3cx cloud so I would not have to worry about down time and now it is a nightmare.

First of, make sure your old server is off because otherwise it will indeed cause issues.

(1) The old server is off now, but that may have caused the original problem. it has been off for at least 10 hours now.
(2) We certainly meet the minimum call requirements and will soon need to upgrade our license to go beyond 4 simultaneous calls.

With the 3cx hosting, we don't know the IP address to get to the management console and our system is totally down. It is not clear at all how to resolve the issue.

In your 3CX Portal, you should see the instance as Running. If so, click it and select Reboot in the actions. That should trigger the IP change in the DNS.

Once you upgrade, you won't need those minimums. Feel free to contact us for licensing.

And yes, there's a very good chance the other server did an activation check and it stole the FQDN back. When moving, it is VERY important to shutdown the old server and keep it off.

Looks like the problem finally resolved itself. Thank you for your suggestions.
