Our google instance recently was reset and picked up a new public IP address. However, the 3CX FQDN is still pointed to the old IP address. How do I update the DNS for the FQDN? I have tried accessing the support page, but keep running into errors and am unable to even open a ticket. Who/what do I do? Our whole phone system is down for a dozen DID's.

I can confirm your post earlier that the management page is now accessible. However, I just get the error now "Login access denied. Too many incorrect login attempts. Try later or contact the Administrator."

Should I try from a different IP or device? Or how long should I wait to try to login again?

I believe the blacklist is 24 hours. Phones, web clients, etc. can trigger the blacklist also...and won't stop trying to connect either. Trying from another IP should get you in.

Thanks for the quick response! Its odd, It gave me that message on the first attempt to login today. I copied and pasted it in from my password manager. I will try again from another IP.

Should we power down all phones in the meantime?

Probably easier to try from another IP and add your office IP to the IP Blacklist page as an Allow entry. Then you can figure out why the blacklist is triggering.

I suspect you aren't logging in as the admin account but rather as an account you created and then elevated to admin (i.e. an extension). You need the admin acocunt (i.e. the one created at install, often username is simply admin). If necessary, you can effect a password reset:

https://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/pbx-security-checkup/#:~:text=To retrieve the PBX administrator's,” > “Notifications” tab.

If you're not getting the password reset option it suggests you're trying the wrong user.

I have tried triggering a reset email myself so you might already have something coming through to you now on the email that was used when setting up the admin account.

edit: Your FQDN seems to be working now, have you managed to get in and fix it?

I finally got into the admin panel last night after retrying from another IP address. It turns out, I am contending with another party attempting to gain access to my 3cx instance due to the lock out issue. I have been trying with the "admin" credentials the whole time, but the other unknown person(s) seem to know the server's new IP address too. It probobly doesnt help that I advertised it on this forum. I have updated the login passwords for my admin account and other persons that have direct access to the management console.

Thanks a ton Lee and Steve for your ongoing help every step of the way. I sincerely appreciate it.

"They" would find it anyway, eventually. In Security/Console Restrictions you can restrict logins to specific IP addresses.
