We are on a free PBX Lic. More accurately we are on a "trial" professional lic. which expires in 3 days. I intend to use the free lic as we do not need more than 8 sim. calls at a time.

  • What will happen when the trial license expires?
  • I have purchased a support ticket but I am unable to submit a ticket because the system claims "This license key is not assigned to your account or is invalid" yet the key is attached to our customer account on the portal. Is there a way to force our trial lic to convert to a standard 8 sim call lic?

  1. It will simply revert back to Standard 8SC forever. You might receive warnings about the license about to expire but just ignore them.
  2. No, you can't force it but for 3 days, just wait. However, the ticket should work. Try again after the license expired, maybe trials can't have support tickets assigned.

Slight correction. It will revert to 16SC STD for the remainder of the year, and then starting year 2 it will revert to 8SC STD. Basically timeline is this
Day 1-40 16 SC PRO
Day 41-365 16 SC STD
Day 366-? 8 SC STD

No one knows for certain as 3CX has gone through various iterations of free/trial licenses but as of this writing that is what is expected.
