Hello everyone,

Our phone system's supposed to have a Free Standard 4SC license, yet its Web UI keep displaying the message "Your Subscription will expire on 08/01/2024. Without subscription you lose access to important features". Could someone please explain how that message could be interpreted and what kind of feature limitation system's supposed to experience after August, 1st?

Just FYI, I tried to submit a support request to 3CX already, but didn't succeed as it accepts systems with commercial licenses only.

Thank you in advance!

Regards,
Leo Bashkirov

Hello @Leo_B

Can you please confirm to us which edition is your 3CX system running on?

Yes that is correct you cannot open a ticket using the 3CX FREE edition.

Appreciate your response! Frankly, I don't quite understand what you mean by 'edition', but 3CX instance in question appears a Vultr-hosted, Debian-powered VM running Version 18 Update 9 (build 31) with Standard Annual license assigned, 4 Sim Calls currently supported.

You need to upgrade to v20 before August. That was send to you by mail many times. You can read this in the blog and on this forum.

OK, just upgraded to V20 last night. Oddly enough, received a confirmation reporting 'your 3CX Debian OS was successfully updated to the latest version', but the log attached listed quite a different result ('Upgrade: Package Update Failed'), so had to re-install the system from scratch. The questions is, where can I read about the V20 Call Log support for Standard Annual 4SC license? This feature was definitely available in V18.

Not in v20 anymore...

Before upgrade: 'You need to upgrade to V20 before Aug 1st, otherwise your key will only support 2 simultaneous calls'
After upgrade: 'Call logs are not available for your license'

Excellent. Again, where's a blog entry covering this funny peculiarity?

This featurelist is from v18. In v20 there is no 3cx free anymore, only free smb. The old free is more restricted than before.

Interestingly, I did upgrade our old V18 demo install (not a NFR) to V20 on the 31st July and it's not retained the 4SC license and is now showing '3CX Standard 2 SC' instead. Not the end of the world as it's one we 'lend' to potential new customers to have a play with.

If you updated the system before the 1st of August, please contact our customer service to check this for you.

Thanks Irina,

Appreciate your help, however as it's a free license I have no way to report this to your support team.

Regards,

Dave.
