Deadline extension for V18 free & NFR keys to upgrade to V20.

4SC Free and NFR users who are still running their 3CX on V18 now have until the 31st of July to upgrade to V20. This is an additional one month extension from the previous deadline of the 30th of June.

If you fail to upgrade your free key, on the 1st of August 2024 your key will only support 2 simultaneous calls. Alternatively, if you don’t wish to upgrade to V20 you can upgrade your license to a commercial PRO edition key via your 3CX portal.

Reminder - No More Updates for V18

We will not publish any further Debian 10 Security updates beyond July 2024. Ensure you are behind a firewall and monitor your instance.

  • Android PUSH will stop working at the end of 2024.
  • Apple PUSH will stop working April 2025.
  • We do not envisage any further updates to V18.

How to Upgrade to V20

Linux

  • Log in to the Management Console and set a system owner.
  • As a safety precaution take a full backup configuration by going to Backup and Restore.
  • Download and save your backup outside the instance.
  • Navigate to and select “Upgrade” in the top right corner.
  • Confirm the upgrade.
  • You will receive an email informing you when the OS and PBX are upgraded.

Windows

  1. Log in to the Management Console and set a system owner.
  2. Take a full backup configuration by going to Backup and Restore.
  3. Download and save your backup outside of the instance.
  4. Uninstall 3CX V18.
  5. Install 3CX V20 using this executable. Read the installation guide.
  6. Upload and restore your backup
