Hi,
Anyone can share the experience for migrating from FTP to AWS S3 for backup/recording?

I hope 3CX can provide a one click migration button to migrate from FTP to S3 if it does not allow us to direct copy and paste the data from FTP to S3.

Thanks!

any staff can advice on this too so that future user can also aware of the process?

Hello,

If you have full access to the FTP server, S3 supports FTP/S and you could clone directly from there.

There are also a number of utilities that will allow you to mount either the FTP, S3 or both as a local drive and then copy between them without needing intermediate storage, although you would still need to download and upload the data in transit.

It's not possible to give more instruction as the details would depend on your exact setup.

A search for "ftp to s3 data migration" should provide relevant results.

Hi KyriacosS
Thank you for your kind reply. No worries about how to copy or clone the files. I know how to handle that.

Perhaps I didn’t phrase it clearly in my initial message. My main concern is that 3CX’s internal database might not be able to map the recordings properly when we move the storage. I take responsibility for not stating this more clearly earlier.
