G279 Codec

Dear Forum

Found that the best codec available in 3CX for minimal bandwidth utilization are G729.
We use v. 15.0.0 Pro with 16 channel G729 available.
We have mobile user that must do call over the Internet with only 4-30 Kbps b/w available
With 3CX app. installed in user smartphone, how can we use this G729 as an default codec.

Please help.

G729 is not implemented to the 3CX Phone Clients , we are working on this , for now you can use iLBC , GSM Speex that they need low bandwidth also .

FYI; we're using GSM right now, but voice quality are so poor while connected to 2G/Edge data connection.
May we know timeline release for this feature ?
