Hello,

The G711 is forced during conference calls, which results in a significant degradation of call quality for our customers who are now accustomed to the G722 or Opus.

We receive many complaints about this.

In early 2019 I read on this forum that "We are aware of this and will look for ways to improve it in the future."

Almost two years later, can we hope for a solution?

Best regards,
Marc

Since when is g.711 considered bad quality? We do nothing but with no complains. Now if you have G.722 or OPUS enabled and then it's transcoding then it's probably lower call quality than if you had just gone G.711 all the way. There's very little benefit to doing anything but G.711 since anything else is going to get transcoded when it it's the PSTN or another interconnect. That's why most providers don't even accept OPUS because it's very CPU intensive to transcode.
