Can use a pstn gateway in a sbc remote office.
I like to integrate te remote pstn lines to the system.

3cx system vesion 12.
Raspberry pi SBC.

This has come up before, and the general consensus was no, it won't work. Using a gateway, and a number of sets in a remote location on will require the use of VPN.
