Geographical forwarding rules

Hi there,

I would like to know whether 3CX could support forwarding rules based on geographical area. For example, caller from north region of the country will forward to mobile number A and South region caller will be forwarded to mobile B. It would be awesome if 3CX has this functionality.

Hi there,

One can achieve this with 2 ways :
- Redirect callers at Inbound rule level with type Caller Id number/mask, then input the area code matching this region for example 04*, then define a route for these callers. Repeat operation for others areas/routes. (this inbound rule type is available in Pro edition only).
- Redirect callers at extensions level with Forwarding Rules / Exceptions / Add Rule with caller id masks as above and define route.

You might want to consider looking at the voip toys addong "Call Router" and user there route by area code.

Route By Area Code: This solution extracts the Area Code from the inbound Caller ID number, looks up the area code in a database, obtains the corresponding extension and routes the call to this extension.
