Given DN number cannot be used

Hello,

due an existing logic I need the DN number "88" for its corresponding extension. I changed the number for "Fax over Mail Gateway" from 88 to 98 and restarted 3CX. But everytime if I try to create a new Extension with number "88" I get the error message "Given DN number cannot be used".

Why? I can't see any further conflict. Of course I could change internal number of this extension but it's a ugly solution because all internal numbers should correspond with last part of external number.

Please help. Thank you.

That's bad. Any other solution to change fax extension available?

It's an option that could be suggested in the Ideas forum.

Yeah, I saw it already and tried it. But the extension 88 won't be available. So it seems that it can't be unlocked to use it for a phone extension.

Did you try giving the extension, that you want to assign 88, a SIPID of 88? Haven't tried it my self, but, maybe?
