Hi,
I have a customer using a BT-HSIPT trunk and when they call an external number e.g. a mobile, instead of their company name being displayed, it is the first line of their address. E.g. "XYZ Business Centre".
Does anyone know where this is being drawn from and how to change it? I've looked within the PBX itself and nowhere is the words "XYZ Business Centre". I've also looked on the SIP settings and can't see it there.
I have searched Google and there was a brief mention that UK phone numbers and their associated display names are held in one or more third party databases... is this true? If so is it something we can get corrected as the number belongs to the company, not the business centre (although the business centre in question IS owned by said company in this instance) they obviously want the company name to display when making outbound calls!
Help appreciated.
