Grandstream 16xx Series phone freezes on pick up

Hi,
Is anyone having trouble with there Grandstream 16xx series phones freezing when picking up a phone call? After about 20 seconds it unfreezes and has lost the call. This is happening regularly now.

I have also noticed that the firmware from 3CX is 1.0.4.132 but Grandstream is up to 1.0.4.150 with a ton of fixes since 132...

Any help would be appreciated!

Do you have an important phonebook on 3CX ? freeze can be an overload due to phonebook
These phones are cheap models with powerless hardware.

Not sure new firmware can do some help for this.

Thanks for your reply. The phonebook list maybe 10 long, so really small. The phones work well any other time. Just as mentioned before, freezing on pick up.

Looking through the firmware update logs there is heaps of fixes that include freezing problems.

So you can try webbing into the phone and removing the provisioning URL and manually upgrading your firmware to see if that resolves the issue. 3CX will push a new firmware whenever Grandstream tells them to and then they test it themselves first.

Like Cobaltit said above , do a try on one phone and test if freeze disappear. You 'll see red unsupported release on 3CX side but no matter if problem is fixed.
If this is a success then let 3CX know the release you push on the phone
