3CX just pushed down a new firmware for Grandstream GXP21x phones
1.0.11.6
the release notes are a bit sparse from Grandstream
any idea what this might mean?
After the last firmware upgrade that started strange behavior in my PBX I am careful of installing this before I don't know what actually changed.

BUG FIX
  • Fixed XML file provision with other config version number doesn't work

Yes update. This one fixes a few bugs. No big deal.

The only one I say not to update is the GXP17xx series. Last firmware was a mess.

This update is giving me all kinds of problems with GXP2170 phones. I just created a system of 35 phones and once I upgraded the firmware, every phone was listed twice in the "phones" tab. Had to delete the extension and factory reset the phones and basically start over to get only one phone listed. I just upgraded my personal phone and now I have 2 showing. Now it will call out, but there's no audio with incoming calls. Anybody else have this problem and an easy solution? I wouldn't recommend upgrading if you don't have to.

Actually didn't experience any issues with the upgrade so far. Cannot reproduce the issues you had.

I didn't have any issues with prior version or the newly released version. 70+ Grandstream phones - 2130, 35, 40, 60, 70.
