Hi there,
I'm looking to buy a video doorphone and I was wondering if I could get the expertise of the forum members. I haven't bought a device yet.
Thanks in advance. Hopefully the information is presented clearly enough
AIM: Someone presses door bell on door phone. Staff member can see the video on the phone and press a button to open the door.
Question: If the video codecs match, does that mean that I should get video on the physical/hard phones?
Hardware:
Information that I have gathered so far:
3CX Version 20.0.3.806
Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? Locally on my lan
IP Phone Make/Model/Firmware - Grandstream GDS3710 + Yealink T46S (66.86.0.15)
Provisioning Method: LAN
Has the Firewall Checker passed: NO, but everything is internal on the same subnet/vlan and all currently working
Are custom Phone Templates being used: NO

Hardware:
| Yealink | SIP-T46S | 66.86.0.15 |
Information that I have gathered so far:
- The Grandstream doorphone is supported on the 3CX Supported IP Phones page.
- GDS3710 Datasheet shows that it supports the following codecs: Voice Codecs G.711µ/a-law, G.722, DTMF (RFC2833, SIP INFO), AEC
- The T46S supports G722 as well.
- A phone model that would work in this use case
- What I need to look for in a doorphone and physical/hard phone?
