3CX 15.5 and Grandstream GXP2130 and 2160 in place here.

what doesn't seem to work is the screen saver or inactivity LED on the phones.
it is set to the settings with the default template for the Grandstreams that 3CX provides.
But the screen saver never comes on (after 3 minutes) or the LED is not being dimmed (after 1 minute).

I cannot figure out why that is. there seems to be no obvious activity going on so by all means it should trigger.

I do not think the screensaver.xml file is there. (per Grandstream Admin manual)

Also, 3cx template, it appears, is looking for MAC.xml as well, which means a file for each phone.

thanks for the reply so far:
just so I understand this right: the mac.xml files are then identical with what grandstream looks as screensaver.xml ?

and how do I check, and or create those files on 3CX ?

Looks like file name is actually screensaver<Mac>.xml
These would be created in the server based on the second graphic.

Not sure why the MAC address is in there - may be a mistake on the part of 3CX.

those files indeed don't seem to exist

root@3cxpbx:/var/lib/3cxpbx# find . -name "screensaver*" -print

./Data/Http/provsubdir/logo/screensaver.txt

./Instance1/Data/Http/Interface/provisioning/4hfypscu6v5038/logo/screensaver.txt

question - where to go from here?

You create them... but again - I think the requirement of MAC Address is wrong looking at the Grandstream admin manual - it should be just screensaver.xml
And in that file you simple put the location of each of the screensaver photos. Maybe on that server - maybe on another website somewhere.
