I was not able to find any recent info on the not 3cx supported Grandstream HT702 with 3cx Express v18. Yes, I know they are old, but I had some lying around that were never used. With the newest firmware from Grandstream's website for the HT702, I am now able to follow the same 3cx procedure as with the HT802 and make it work (see https://www.3cx.com/voip-gateways/grandstream-ht-fxs/#h.h5n5ayhyczxm ). I have successfully made and received calls on it with a cloud-based 3cx Express system. I have to use an SBC, but that is no big deal. I always use an SBC anyway.

With the newest firmware (1.0.10.3, found at https://firmware.grandstream.com/Release_HT702_1.0.10.3.zip), Grandstream added the "Upload Configuration" option at the bottom of the "advanced settings" page, so now you can add the file just like with the HT802. Something to note, I had to point the "firmware server path" in "advanced settings" to "firmware.grandstream.com"(w/o quotes, of course). I tried to upload the newest firmware manually and it would not work. Once I updated the "firmware server path" and rebooted the ATA, it updated and I was good-to-go.

This may be old news to some of you, but it was a pleasant surprise to me. And yes, I know the HT802 is only $35, but it is sometimes gratifying to make something work that is not necessarily suppose to. There was not anything I could find on searches that indicated the HT802 procedure had been tested and worked on the HT702.

So for those who are interested, now you know it works. :)

I just want to point out that if a device is not Supported by 3CX does not necessarily mean it will not work. It just means it has not been tested with 3CX by 3CX and that we cannot guarantee normal functionality or that it will work at all. It goes without saying that we will not provide technical support for it either. That said, you may actually be able to configure it and have it working perfectly in an ideal situation, we just won't be able to help if anything goes wrong.

In any case, thank you for sharing this, I'm sure it will prove helpful to anyone else trying to configure the specific device.
