Grandstream HT802v2 ATA

Hi team,

I´m trying to make work an ATA model Grandstream HT802v2, but I am having some issues with it. I was following the steps provided at https://www.3cx.com/voip-gateways/grandstream-ht-fxs/ spite that these are for v1, so I tried to do the same on v2.

I was able to update the firmware to the latest 1.0.3.10 without issue.



Nevertheless, when pasting the provisioning link created by 3CX, it seems to by installed correctly (password changed to the one created on 3CX), but the device is not up and running.

I pasted the link as you can see on the image below, save it and reboot the ATA.


But, as you can see, it didn´t work.



Am I doing something wrong or maybe the ht802v2 isn't supported by the PBX? Is there any problem if it's v2 and not v1 (TBS are only for v1) or it should work anyway just selecting the HT802?



I would really appreciate any support you can guide me on this.

Is this in the same local network as the PBX? Or is it remote?

If it is remote, it would need to connect through a 3CX SBC in order to connect. It is able to load the config from the PBX as that is given through HTTPS which doesnt go through the tunnel.

Thanks for your reply. I tried using a local SBC and also with a T46U as a router phone, I thought that maybe I was pasting the provisioning link in a wrong place or maybe the grandstream HT802v2 wasn't supported?

That model is not supported so unknown if it will provision at all.

We don't say to enter the provisioning link in the guide, so try to download the config file from 3CX then upload it to a factory reset HT802V2 and let us know if that worked.

Hi John,

I downloaded the config file (.xls) but under that new v2 web interface I didn´t find the Upload configuration like in the v1, the only upload option I saw was at Restore from Backup Configuration, I will try that and Download Device XML Config and see if it can actually work.

Hi Lachlan,

Yep, I was able to update the firmware to a latest version at https://www.grandstream.com/support/firmware, and it worked.
