Been using version 20 for a few weeks now. Upgrade went smoothly and its been working. Although personally I don't like the new admin interface, and call routing method and naming scheme for certain functions is less intuitive than it was before. But I can get used to that stuff, just have to relearn it. One problem though that I can't get around is, from what I can tell, version 20 has limited the granularity of user permissions management. There is only the option to select a role for a user and those roles can't be customized. I understand switching to role based permissions management as that is a more modern way of managing the permissions. However not being able to customize the groups is a big flaw in my opinion.

For example, I have some users that might need the ability to intercom, but they don't need the ability override the office hours, or control the IVR. Unless I've missed something I can't say I understand the logic in reducing the granularity and functionality of the permissions. Can someone submit an idea for this (again assuming I haven't missed something)? I don't have the rights to do so or I would. I know I'm not the only one that has noticed this issue as I've seen other threads mention it. Hopefully if its turned into an idea and it gets enough votes the permissions will be restored to their fully functional state.

To be clear, the idea is this. Create a separate admin page in the admin interface where you manage and customize the rights of groups, and create new ones as needed. We are admins, so let us admin :)

Awesome thanks, didn't find those when I was searching. Hopefully it gets lots of upvotes.
