It's a known issue and we are working on it with Grandstream. You are obviously using the latest FW but if you back up to 2.14 you will be OK. Please keep in mind that as far as I know this is not yet supported by 3CX.

so is anyone else running this template? i am on our 3cx system and there are still a few bugs in it that we can't get out to the phones

1) time zone settings (during DST)

2) change the default ring tone from the annoying default to an actual ringer.

3) duplicate address book entries. ~~ this is not viable to go into the web interface and fix the contact list one by one when you are rolling out 100 phones.

anyone else run into these or other issues ?

1) Time Zone still an issue here.. P64 = EST5EDT doesn't provision the phone correctly. (Eastern Time with Daylight Savings) it's exactly what their template says.....

# GMT-5:00(Estern Time without daylight saving)                 EST5
# GMT-4:00(Estern Time)                                         EST5EDT

2) Ringer Fixed. Just take the variable as it's in the template and it'll work correctly.

3) Still an issue, but have also managed to completely lose the address book when using a custom template on the phone. Still working on this one..

Hi, I am new to the forum and not really sure how things work but just purchased a GXP 2200 and would like to download the latest provisioning template. Is there and area where the latest templates are posted? If not, has there been an update since the beta posted in January earlier in this thread?

There is setting on the more recent GXP 2200's under Maintenance--> Contacts which have the options "Clear out the old list" and "Replace Duplicates". This should at least get rid of the issue with multiple phonebook entries.

If you're making a custom provisioning template, the corresponding fields are:

# Clear The Old List: P1435

# Replace Duplicate Items: P1436

I think I've managed to update the provisioning template for the grandstream GXP2200 now. This new template will allow the phone to use the phonebook, delete duplicate entries when it updates the phonebook and not delete manually added entries. Note that because it deletes duplicates instead of 'clearing the old list', updating the phonebook takes several times longer to download the new entries. Change P1345 to speed up the phonebook updating and remove manually added entries.

This template is updated for version 12 and has the web password set to the web password field in the 'phone provisioning' tab.

Let me know how it works and if any fields need to be adjusted.

Is it possible for this template to allow setting up the BLFs using the 3CX management console on the GXP2200 extension module? (the extension module adds 20 BLFs with a 2nd page allowing up to 40 BLFs.)
