Hello all,

I have around 25 GXP2170 units provisioned via the Local LAN method. All of their firmware is up-to-date at version 1.0.11.6 and my 3CX version is updated as well. I am having a problem with some phones randomly becoming unregistered and the only way to make the phone work again is to reboot the phone. I have searched and searched about this problem to try to avoid posting in the forum but here I am. I have even modified the template on them to extend registration times. When I am in my management console the extensions will show up red in the, "extension" list and the phone will not show up at all when I click on the, "phone" list. Has anyone else experienced this issue as of lately?

I have a single GXP2170 (it happens to on my desk, version 1.0.11.6) amongst 25 other devices which are a mix of Yealink and Gigaset. My GXP2170 goes into a state where it appears to be working but will not make or receive calls, normal operation can be restored by a power cycle. This sounds similar to what you are experiencing. All the other phones are working without issue. I did not have this issue before the firmware was updated!

I factory reset all my phones on Monday evening and so far it seems like that has fixed the problem. Fingers crossed!

Hello,

there is already a post on this forum with this problem see :

By the way, factory reset does not solve the problem.

Bye
Hans
So far it has seemed to solve the problem for me. I stumbled upon this thread which seemed to be the exact same problem I was experiencing and followed the steps outlined in that.

I will keep this thread updated if I experience anymore problems.
