Hi,

We're setting up a new 3CX for a client and we can manually provision the handsets but they will not auto provision.

I recall we had this problem before where the LAN subnet is "non-standard" (in this case 223.244.244.0/24) and we had to adjust something, edit a file and put the LAN subnet in there to allow the handsets to auto provision, but time has passed and I cannot for the life of me remember what we needed to edit.

Is anyone able to assist?

Thanks

Mark.

First question, Why would you use a public ip block as a local subnet? And are you using a SBC?

it is the IP address the client has. no all the phones are on the LAN.

Is your client in China?

Clearly they are not. The LAN range is what it is, we have no power to change it.

I think using a public ip block can cause major issues, and that my be why the phones wont provision.

why would it cause major issues? the LAN range is the LAN range, they dont need to connect to that IP externally everything uses the internal DNS.
As I say we have had this working previously - we have now rediscovered the solution.
