Greetings all,

New to 3CX but a bit experienced on PBX. I'm coming from FusionPBX where provisioning is a link, user, password thing, 3CX seems a bit more convoluted.

First of all, my 3CX instance is hosted on AWS using their image/template, all the appropriate ports are open (9000-10999, 5000, 5090, 5060, 5061, 14000-14019). I've run the internal 3CX firewall test and no issues have arisen. I configured my own extension with the 3CX Client program and all worked nicely, as soon as I try to provision my GXP-2170, I'm having issues.

I'm using Direct SIP (STUN) for remote provision, my mac address and interface are set correctly, local sip port of phone set to 5065, RTP start 14000, end 14019 (UDP). I proceed to go to my factory reset phone, input the provisioning link and reboot.

Upon reboot, my phone isn't registered, however, my dashboard shows this message:

"RPS request for GrandStream GXP-2170 IP Phone of XXXXX XXXXX (extension number here) delivered successfully."

That's it. Nothing else. No extension pops up on my phone, under the phone tab the Grandstream phone doesn't appear. What am I missing?

14000-14019 does not need to be forwarded, at least on the AWS side.

RPS successfully delivered means 3CX told the Grandstream RPS server how to find your instance. The next step is to figure out why your phone isn't checking in with RPS. Be secure to follow this guide:

https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/grandstream-gxp21-series/

Make sure you factory reset your phone, firmware is on the correct version (necessary for LE cert) and that you don't have any local overrides like DHCP Option 66.

Followed the guide.

Phone is on latest firmware and DHCP Option 66 is disabled.

After you reset the phone, when it boots up it should ask you for a username and password. It will not register nor will it be configured at this stage yet.

Is this not happening at all?
