As it seems I need to set the default audio device to my headset to get ringing and voice on my headset.
But I do not want to have YouTube videos and other stuff on it. So I would prefer to not change the default audio device to my Headset.

Is there a way to specify just the phone audio device and keep my Windows default audio device?
I know this is available on other Chrome based Web-Phones.

Environment:
  • Google Chrome (incl. Jabra Extension for 3cx)
  • Windows 10 1809
  • Jabra Client 4.0.4873
  • 3cx 15.5.15502

In Windows 10 have the web client running in the browser of your choice and go to Settings > Sound and scroll down to Advanced Sound Settings - App volume and device preferences. You should see the browser using the Webclient. Should. Adjust accordingly and pray it works.

I've had mostly frustration with this and the idea of getting rid of the client, an actual working piece of software that my users LOVE. Web based, while looking better, is not winning any fans around here.

Thanks Mike - but unfortunately it does not work.
Any other idea or is there an plan to implement a device selection in the webclient?

Hopefully 3CX will respond since they seem committed to doing this. As I said, it has been frustrating for me as well. Pure web client is NOT a good idea, never has been, never will be, and gets reinforced every day in our use of the system. Local client > web client.

As the webclient is out main client going forward, we plan on making further improvements and adding features. This request is already under consideration for a future release.
