Hi,

I want to install 3cx on a VPS of our hosting provider.

It runs a fresh Debian 8 OS.

I have tried to follow the guide as described here: https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/installing-debian-linux-pbx/
After the command: apt-get install 3cxpbx I get the following error:

root@..:~# apt-get install 3cxpbx
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
3cxpbx : Depends: postgresql (>= 9.6) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libssl1.0.2 but it is not installable
Depends: libicu57 but it is not installable
Depends: libcurl3 (>= 7.52.1) but it is not going to be installed
Conflicts: libssl1.0.0 but 1.0.1t-1+deb8u7 is to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Can someone point me in the right direction to solve this issue?

Thanks in advance.
Egbert

Talk to the hosting provider. Seems they do not meet the requirements - starting with the database.

Pre-requisites
  1. When you install Debian, select the hoster’s Debian 9 amd64 (Stretch) image.

Hi Craig,

Tx for response, hosting provider does not support Debian 9 (yet), only Debian 8. Debian 8 should be supported as described here: https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/

But that states v15. 3cx is now 15.5.
Just a guess, as v12 and v12.5 are listed separately.
Perhaps 3cx forgot about this page. :(
