So tell me, Why in your latest update does Skyetel fall under "preferred" when it comes to SIP trunks, but not even listed in the SMS vendor section? In fact, none of your supported SMS providers are even listed in the SIP Trunk "preferred" section.

Please start adding more supported SMS vendors!!. I have already discussed with Skyetel saying that they have provided information to 3CX.

We have several clients that are looking to leave us/3CX if they cannot utilize the SMS functionality through their phone system. We keep telling them it should be coming, but over a year later, still nothing.

I understand that SMS has been undergoing changes with new requirements/registrations.

3CX has committed to a larger selection of SMS providers in future updates. I think they plan to provide some sort of API that any provider can use.

Hi there, Yes we have been working hard on this. Right now you have
Bandwidth, Voxtelesys, Telnyx (third party only, Flowroute.

more coming.

Now in regards to Skyetel, we are waiting for an update from them to add it, then these trunks will be sms enabled too.

Basically, we have streamlined these providers to work more or less the same way otherwise its impossible for us to maintain this reliably going forward.

Telnyx SMS currently doesn't work. Tried to send messages yesterday and nothing gets sent, no webhooks are sent back from Telnyx either. Also, the SMS icon now shows as telnyx logo lol

We are already looking at other solutions.

It does work, maybe your SMS is not setup correctly at telnyx. You will have to contact them as it's a third party supported provider

Maybe your old configuration is conflicting, i.e. delete the old config ....

This is on us. We got our wires crossed for API requirements, and accidentally caused a delay. Unfortunately with the SMS Industry changes, we've had more on our plate than we can manage and dropped the ball. That should be cleared now, and we're working with 3CX to get this squared away :).

Is Flowroute falling off the list of preferred SMS Providers with the release of v18 U5?

We are adding flowroute back

Is the a UK providor with SMS enabled pls ?

I tried using Twilio for UK SMS, but their numbers are unreliable for OTP SMS often used for MFA. I've gone back and forth with Twilio on this since they claim their mobile numbers support SMS, but then retract that when you question OTP support. Twilio says its the OTP senders that consider Twilio numbers as VOIP numbers not true mobile numbers. Yet both Twilio and Wavix appear to source their UK numbers from Three.

I recently tried Wavix for a UK Mobile number and that is working well for SMS including OTP.
